The Shuvalovka Russian Village is a place where you can plunge into the life of Northern villagers. The village is a copy of traditional settlement of 1714 year.
Itinerary
The village has recreated the traditional log home cabins that the 18th-century Novgorod peasants lived in. Inside each house there is a Russian stove where the family cooked and slept you will not believe their meals and slept on benches. There are also reproductions of the local shops and mills that provided people in the community with their everyday needs. One more attraction in the village is the Masliany Lug or Butter Meadow. This area was and still is the perfect place for fun and games. Many festivals, popular sports tournaments, fairs and music events are held here all year round. In the winter months the village also hosts holiday events and offers a skating rink, sledding hills, traditional sleigh rides and horseback riding.
